We could still bear it if need demanded that some one should steal all our worldly goods, our honour and our lives or whatever else we may have. It would, however, be too much if we let some one steal our wonderful consoling Gospel, our faith and Christ Himself. That would be simply too much. We would not be able to bear this and we should not have to do so nor would we want to. And it produces a gentle and good feeling in my heart that, with regard to this matter, people call me stubborn, headstrong and even pigheaded (...).
