Luther Tour

The Reformation was a movement that powerfully affected all aspects of life. It influenced not only the Church, but society as a whole, in a lasting way. The influence of Luther and the Reformation as well as the subsequent results of that influence ¬for tourism, among other things – can still be experienced today. As an aid to travellers interested in visiting the historical sites of the Reformation, the European Tourism Association 'Sites of the Reformation' e.V. developed the "Luther-tour".

From"A" for Augsburg to "Z" for Zwickau

Following in Luther’s footsteps, the route leads through a key period in German history and to some of Germany’s most beautiful cities and landscapes. Neither Augsburg and Coburg, nor Worms and Zeitz, are left out. The listings for the various locations related to the Reformation each contain a short overview of the featured city and tips from our partners in the tourism sector. This provides every traveller with a good overview and the means to individually plan his or her own journey.
